Ascend GRC: 100 Grants Program – Guidelines and Eligibility Criteria


1. Program Overview

  • Name: Ascend GRC: 100

  • Launch Date: April 2025

  • Objective: Provide match-funded grants to 100 organisations to access Ascend GRC’s learning management systems (LMS).

  • Grant Scope: Exclusively for:

    • Ascend GRC: e-Learning | Access – High-quality and credible governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) learning solutions for Australian organisations and professionals.

    • Ascend GRC: e-Learning | LMS – Customised in-house learning management systems tailored to organisational needs.

  • Grant Type: Match-funded – Ascend GRC will match dollar for dollar what organisations invest in these LMS solutions.

  • Additional Support: Organisations may request a 12-month payment plan to spread costs over time.


2. Grant Eligibility Criteria

Eligible organisations must:

  • Be a registered Australian NFP or institution (no cap on organisational size).

  • Align with one or more of the following priority areas:

    • Support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

    • Provide dedicated support to ex-service members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

    • Operate as an educational institution (e.g., schools, universities, training providers).

    • Promote economic development internationally in alignment with the UN SDGs.

    • Support people with disabilities.

    • Advance access to justice and the legal system.

    • Promote free and open trade and migration.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to building internal learning and compliance capacity.


3. Application Process

  1. Online Application Submission – Organisations submit an application via the Ascend GRC website.

  2. Eligibility Screening – Review to ensure alignment with grant priorities.

  3. Evaluation by Selection Panel – Assessment based on governance impact potential.

  4. Approval & Funding Agreement – Selected organisations confirm their match-funding commitment and (if needed) opt for the 12-month payment support.

  5. Implementation & Onboarding – Organisations receive access to Ascend GRC LMS solutions with structured onboarding support.

  6. Ongoing Monitoring & Support – Organisations provide periodic feedback on usage and impact.


4. Application Requirements

Applicants must provide:

  • Organisational details (ABN, registration status, mission, and activities).

  • Statement of need – How LMS access will enhance governance, compliance, or professional development.

  • Match-funding commitment – Confirmation of co-investment.

  • (If applicable) Request for 12-month payment plan.

  • Agreement to participate in evaluation & impact reporting.


5. Grant Benefits

6. Selection Criteria

  • Alignment with one or more priority areas.

  • Clear demonstration of need for GRC learning solutions.

  • Potential for organisational improvement through LMS adoption.

  • Commitment to maximising the impact of the grant.

  • Willingness to engage in program evaluation and impact reporting.


7. Compliance & Reporting

  • Recipients must implement the LMS solutions within the grant period.

  • Submission of a progress report after 6 months.

  • Submission of a final impact report after 12 months.

  • Participation in case studies and program feedback sessions.


8. Program Governance

  • Managed by Ascend GRC’s Grants & Partnerships team.

  • Oversight by an independent selection panel to ensure transparency.

  • Annual program review to assess impact and refine future cycles.


9. Key Milestones

  • March 2025 – Finalisation of program structure & application materials.

  • April 2025 – Official program launch & opening of applications.

  • June 2025 – Application deadline & selection process begins.

  • July 2025 – Announcement of successful grantees.

  • August 2025 – July 2026 – LMS implementation & reporting period.

  • August 2026 – Final evaluation & next program cycle review.
